Friday ensued with a myriad of activities.
I started my day off with a check-off that I barely studied for. Luckily it was one of the easy systems.
While cramming for the check-off, Tricia's husband James called me. I had ordered him a ticket for the NCAA playoffs there were in town, but they wouldn't give him the ticket because it was my name on the order! I hurried through my check-off, ran back to the other side of Boise, had Tricia run me over to the school, picked up the ticket, went back home and then back to the other side of town to campus. I took my exam at one o'clock when it opened and just blew through it as fast as I could so I could get home and coordinate the final prep work for the wedding/reception.
Meanwhile...Tricia, Jessica and gang headed over to Caldwell to start on flowers, my dad had come over to Boise with a truck to pick up tables, Brandon's family was heading to Caldwell to help set-up at the train depot. Heidi P and mom were at my mom's house cooking up a storm, Julie and Bonnie were on their way up from Utah, and the rest of my family (mom, Heidi, Mike and Sarah) were opening the depot and moving tables and chairs.
It was a busy, busy day.
Brandon and I were finishing up last minute things in Boise before heading to Caldwell for the evening.
By the time we arrived all operations were in full swing. We helped set-up tables, move things around, put out linens, set-up centerpieces, wipe off dust, quality control
on flowers, tasted the buttercream and watched the children climb the walls, literally, and play the marble game. By about 6pm everyone was tired and hungry and ready for dinner at Keystone Pizza. Brandon's family was so excited to be eating there because they used to eat at Keystone in Boise all the time when they were younger, but it had closed and they had no idea that one still existed. It was delicious as usual. Everyone was filled and satisfied. Brandon and family headed home and the rest of us got down to business. Flowers were all over the garage, rolls and cream puffs filled the basement, the kitchen was whirring with activity and family members were being sent here and there to pick up last minute items from the store and most importantly the dress! Helpers slowely filtered off to head to their respective beds to get some rest. I snuck into a dark room, into and uncomfortable chair with baby violet and tried to rest. I finally curled up on the corner of the matress Heidi P and her mom were sleeping on with baby in arms and got about 45mins of sleep before Tricia, Jessica and Sarah had had enough flowers and wanted to go to bed. Tricia Jessica and I headed back to Boise, it was 3am!
Check back, I'll post set up pics when I get them from Tricia
