This was a gift my sister put together for us
I ran around and gathered everything I needed to take to the temple with me while Tricia and Jessica worked on my guestbook, laughing hysterically all the while. I showered and got ready, headed to the hair dresser, then back home for make-up and a clothes change, hurried others in and out of the shower, dressed kids, tried not to get
too anxious then rushed out the door (late) to the temple. Brandon was patiently waiting and we rushed in and waited and rushed into the dressing rooms and waited and rushed some more and waited.
Finally it was our turn. I was so nervous, I think mostly because I didn't want to breakdown and cry (those Barrus genes) through the whole thing. I kept my composure! I was so happy. I was able to sit and listen to the sealer, what all he said I don't remember, but he did suggest that we had a computer or two in the house, being college students and all. I kindly corrected him and said "or three". He mentioned family history work and that is all I remember from the advice he gave us. Then Brandon and I kneeled across the alter from each other and we were sealed for time and all eternity to each other! It was absolutely beautiful! Our family and friends surrounded us with their love and smiles and I married my best friend!!!
The day couldn't have been better, although there was a serious lack of sleep between many everything went as planned and turned out beautifully.
I guess there are two doors they send couples out of the temple now. Our group was waiting by the wrong door and when we walked out I was so confused and a little sad because no one was out there waiting for us. We walked out a little ways and acutally surprised them by coming up from behind.

The "fake out"

The "do-over"
We spent and hour or two taking pictures, Brandon was so tired of smiling. We went to our luncheon and had something to eat and talked with family and friends. Then home to rest.

The Happy Couple

Brandon and I with my nephew Topher and his brother Ty

My wonderful friend Petey, not only a great friend (who needs to move back to Boise), but an amazing caterer.
The food was awesome!

Sisters

Best friends and "Creative" partners :)
Couldn't have done it without these two.
They stayed up all night! Not to mention countless hours on the phone planning
Tricia, Jessica, Heidi and Sarah went to do some shopping to find something for Sarah to wear to the reception and also to check Brandon and I into the hotel. James took the kids down the street to the park and Brandon and I crashed on the couch. It felt so good to sleep, but my mind was clearly not sleeping because I kept dreaming that we woke up late and then I would "wake up", but in my dream, not in real life. Finally James came back with the kids and the knocking and doorbell ringing woke us up. The girls got back and Sarah found a really cute outfit to wear. They needed the depot key in Caldwell and Brandon and I needed to get there for pictures so we hurried out the door for Caldwell. We arrived a bit late (what's new) and jumped immediately into pictures. The lateness of the key did change some of the food plans, but oh so slightly I don't think anyone even noticed.
We did pictures of Brandon and I, then with the families and a few more of us and we rushed to the depot because people started showing up.

The Families

New family formed

The reception was beautiful, with flowers and candles and so many guests, it was amazing. A couple of trains went by which the kids loved and added a nice touch to the train depot ambiance.

decor lining the path into the train depot

the flower arrangement so loving dubbed "flower loaf"
The food was amazing and so many people stayed around and socialized and ate, it was really neat and everything I could have ever asked for.

beautiful cake
it was also the most delicious, moist thing in the world!

The food, second most delicious stuff in the world
it was so amazing, I think the only reason people stuck around :)
not that I care, it was the only reason I showed up :)

The "foodies"
Amazing friends who helped out so much with the amazing food
So glad you guys could make it and so grateful for all your help!
Heidi and her mom are such amazing cooks

Little Buddy and his Daddy
He loved it when the trains went by

The "ladies guys/stud muffins"
and the sweet little girls
All the kids were so handsome and pretty

More family and friends
Missy did such an awesome job on the photography. I'm so glad she agreed to be my photographer!
I wish I could post every picture.
The time came for cutting the cake and throwing the bouquet and then heading out the door.

Eating the cake...licking cake off our fingers...wondering how to get more cake

Sara "caught" the bouqet, it actually flew straight to the group and they all jumped away from it, then Sara grabbed it from the floor
silly girls
Heidi P packed us up some food to take with us and we had a limo waiting outside. We were told to wait so everyone could line up outside and throw petals as we walked out.
The limo was absoutely perfect and I suggest that any and all leave in a limo. It was nice to sit and relax for the thirty minute drive back to Boise.

"Peacin' Out"
We stayed at Hotel 43 and it was lovely and beautiful. The girls did such a nice job decorating the room with chocolates and sparkling cider.
The day was perfect, the weather was wonderful, it even rained, in fact it poured, but it was during the break and no one was even outside.
I couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding.
I couldn't have asked for more wonderful people in my life that did so much to make this day absolutely perfect and special.
I couldn't have asked for a better man.
I am so grateful to be married to my best friend.
