FINALLY!
I know I haven't spent anywhere near as much time in school as some of you have, but either way I am so happy to have this second degree done and over with. The last three years, straight, of school were a nightmare! Ok, so that's a little dramatic, but it has been a long road and it is so wonderful to finally be finished.
This last semester was non-stop, always something due and always something more to be working on as well as working, moving and living in a disaster of a house until school was over.
Graduation was on Monday and it was the third day of a very long weekend full of activities. My family went to dinner at P.F. Chang's before I had to be at the Boise Centre to line up for the graduation.
Graduation got started late and luckily there were not too many graduates, but after an hour and a half of graduation and some socializing and set up for the pinning, we started the pinning. We kept the program short and simple, but with 27 of the 28 graduates being there and waiting for each pinner to come up, meet the pinnee, and one of our professors to say some really nice things about each of us, we finally finished the night at about ten thirty. It was a long, long day, and I crashed and burned as soon as it was over.
It was so wonderful to have all of my family there and due to my parents getting married just a couple of days before my brother and his family were in town and stayed for graduation. It was so great to spend time with them, it doesn't happen often enough. It was also so nice to have my good friends Heidi and Kristen there to support me (and make me yummy candy lei's!). Heidi came up from Utah and made a little trip out of it!
It was a jam packed weekend and it was so wonderful to spend it with so many family and friends.
I am so glad the school part is done and over with, no more assignments looming over my head and endless classes to attend. I do still get to study for my boards and take those next month, but I am much enjoying this newly gained free time!
{me with my name card and my name phonetically spelled out...they still butchered it}
