Caldwell Bridal Shower

Yes, I had two bridal showers. It was so much fun. My future MIL and AIL (aunt-in-law?) threw one for the Boise people, I've lived there for a few years now and have made enough friends there I figured splitting it up would be easier.

Some of my very good friends, who I've know foooorrreeeevvvveeeerrrr. Threw me a show for the Caldwell people, which consisted of people I've known my whole life be it friends or young women's leaders, family. It was wonderful. They had some finger foods and fondue!! I love fondue!!

My friends MIL hosted it at her house, she was so excited and willing to help, I really appreciate her sweet generosity.

Some of the guests, I don't know if there were other cameras in play, but I didn't get near enough pictures of the wonderful guests!

My friends Aubrey, Shauna, Sara, Maaike and Maria made all the fun happen.

We played a little candy bar memory game where you match the candy bar with a wedding/honeymoon related item or phrase, for example: first kiss matches with hershey kisses. It was fun and I got so many wonderful gifts!

apparently I am very excited about cutting boards and cook books!

A HUGE thank you to my good friends and to Stephanie for throwing such a wonderful shower and for your friendship and support.

family

I think I love weddings and all the partying they entail because it brings family and friends together to have fun! And a great reason to put together not just fun parties, but spectacular ones!!

Special Olympics

This week Boise has been host to the 2009 Special Olympics. Although most of the week I have been busy with school I was fortunate enough to have a couple of days off. Monday night my dad finagled me an invited to dinner with the delegation from Switzerland. We ate at Kazba, a Greek place in town. It was fun to watch all the athletes who were so happy and excited to be here and to participate in these sports. Heidi and I sat next to Mario. I guess everyone had been giving him a hard time that day, but he was the lucky one that got to sit next to not only one, but two pretty girls. We met the Swiss Consolate who was visiting from San Francisco as well as the head of the delegation, coaches and chaperones. It was cool!

Wednesday I had off from school so I headed up to Bogus to watch some of the competitions. They are amazing, and can ski much better than I can (I can't ski at all). Very impressive and so fun to watch pure, uninhibited excitement. I loved watching the awards ceremony, the expressions of joy and excitement should be bottled up and sold. I even saw one of the athletes I met last year at the trial, he and I were cuttin' a rug at the closing ceremonies last year.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day and it was so fun to be there to see the excitement and to share in the joy!

A big Thank You to the Swiss delegation for letting us be your friends and fans! Good luck in the future and have a safe trip home!!!

Daniela couldn't believe the size of her ice cream dessert, Mike (in the blue next to her) finished off what she didn't eat

Feel free to share your opinion on your favorite, now we have to pick one for the announcements. The last picture was us showing how cold it was, soooo cold.

Flowers From Brandon

I had a bit of a crummy day at work yesterday. When I finished lunch and went out to my desk there was a huge arrangement of roses with a single carnation. I thought for sure my co-worker's husband was making up for being snappy at her that morning. I checked out the card with the flowers and my name was on it!! I couldn’t believe it! Absolutely beautiful, with one ugly flower. I don’t like carnations and Brandon knows it. He thought that was such a funny joke, he couldn’t stop laughing when I called him.

He’s so cute.

and when I got home Sunday night dinner was ready and the dishes were done.

I am marrying well!!

Brandon’s Birthday! 27!

I haven’t looked at my camera for a while and I just realized I had pictures from Brandon’s birthday that I hadn’t posted yet. This is what happens when you don’t think about anything else except school, wedding, work, school, wedding, work, school, wedding, work…

We had a simple party with Brandon’s family as well as his friends Miles, Bonnie and baby Clay.

My favorite part of the night was Julie’s special surprise… We watched old home movies of Brandon. He was such a little cutie, running around in his jeans playing soccer.

Happy Birthday Brandon!! again

I LOVE YOU!!!
