Where is Creative Baby Showers Co. when I need them!!
This past Saturday I threw a baby shower for my friends the Thorntons. Toby is one of the counselors in the 11th ward bishopric and Tammy is the pregnant lady in the singles ward =) We love them and are all so excited for baby boy Thornton to arrive.
The fun started Friday night when Brandon and I spent the evening running from store to store to store buying up the goods. We started the prep work that night. Brandon is an amazing apple cutter! Saturday morning was go go go getting things ready for the shower, food was being whipped up and decorations strewn around. I was so close to having everything put together and ready by the time people showed up. I still haven't got that part down pat, but I'm getting close =)
It was such a fun time. I think my favorite part were the onesies everyone decorated. For those of you who don't know I love Gilmore Girls and there is an episode where they have a baby shower for Lane and they decorated onesies, I thought that was such a great idea and it really did work out great! It'll be fun to see little baby boy Thornton in our works of art.

Hey Heather, this is Allison. I love the onesie idea that is great. Did you just buy fabric paint from a fabric store? Anyhow, I just wanted to say that I think that is one of the best baby shower ideas I've heard of! You really need to go into party planning by the way. :)
Sweet party! I always knew you had the planner in you. By the way was that apple dip by chance the one we had at my shower? delicious.
Thanks Allison, well like I said it wasn't my original idea, good ol' Gilmore Girls, but it was fun and yeah, I bought fabric paint from the craft store.
And yes Shauna that is the dip you had, I love that stuff, mmmmmmmmmmm!
Thank you for the great baby shower! I had a lot of fun and I LOVE the onsies. They were the best part I think. The food was delish-I need to get your recipes.
