What's in a Name?

I was listening to NPR this morning on my way to school and they were taking callers who were talking about where their names came from, origin, when it was popular, what their kids names are and why they named them such.
It was interesting and I would have liked to listen longer, but alas I had class.
So here are my questions... Do you know what your names means, where did it come from and why did your parents name you what they did?Heather

Mine is an English word that is a bush with pink or white flowers. My parents named me "Heather" because they were friends with this family and they had a Heather and my dad thought she was the cutest little girl and he wanted a Heather of his own. Looks like he got one ; )

My real name is Andria. I believe that means feminine, which I think is pretty stinking funny. I was suppose to be a boy and my parents were planning on calling me Andrew, however I had plans of my own. I came out a girl and they instead said, "Andrrrrrria."

Mine is a Germanic name that means Noble One. My Dad grew up in Switzerland and everyone knows that Heidi is a popular name there cause that's where the story takes place. My parents decided that they just needed to have a Heidi. Enter Moi! :)
