Winter Wonderland

I woke up this morning to a ton of snow!! I was so excited, I wanted to hurry out and take pictures before the cars ruined the beautiful, peaceful, whiteness.

Here's what I got.

apparently they role here in Boise like they do in Laie, take your shopping cart home with you!

Snowman Baseball

I was out for a lovely morning walk, actually it had snowed, a lot, and I wanted to take pictures before it melted and was gross looking because of all the cars. I walked along Warmsprings then down to the park. As I was walking through the park there was a lady who was making snowman baseball!! I thought that was so cool and I was trying to take pictures from afar, but they didn't turn out so well.

I walked down by the river and took more pictures. As I was walking back through the park towards home I was slowly inching closer and closer to snowman baseball and the lady making it. I got close enough to smile at the lady, she said something, then I realized it was our friend Bonnie, from Miles, Bonnie, Clay! I went over and talked with her more, her camera battery was dead so I took more pictures, had Brandon bring me gloves and helped reinforce the snowmen. She had to leave soon so Miles could go to work so we made the final player (catcher) and went home. My camera battery died in the mean time as well so I had Brandon take it home and charge the battery. I went back after I got home to take more pictures of the completed project.

Sadly, snowman baseball didn't last long. By the time Brandon left for work some punk guys came along and destroyed the snowmen in order to build a big snow pile. What rotten guys!

It was fun while it lasted though.
Made for a great morning walk!
Thanks for letting me help Bonnie!

Gma Purvis & Aunt Jew Christmas

Our first stop on Christmas day was at Julie's (Aunt Jew) house. We arrived just in time to each visit with Jesse on the phone for a bit (he is in Cali serving a mission for our church). We ate a delicious meal and opened gifts.

Ty decided he was going to be a gift

Julie has discovered Walmart's photo center and all the different gifts you can make there. She made both Patty and I calendars, note cards of her mother's paintings for the girls in her family, a mug for Jana with pictures from their Disney trip, a book about their mom for her sisters and a few other individual things for some of her siblings. They are so cool!

I'm trying to open the box with my calendar, Patty looking through her book and Ty with his Green Bay Packers hat

Julie also bested everyone this year by giving Brandon some money, placed in a ziploc, placed in JELLO!! He was given a gift bag with a note to "Jim" from "Dwight". Brandon was quick to figure out he needed to look in the fridge where he found a plate of green jello, he had to eat some of it to get to his money! It was awesome.

Eat up Brandon!

We had another wonderful day with Brandon's family and we were all showered with more wonderful gifts!

Thank You Gma Purvis and Aunt Jew!!!

Christmas...Christmas

Christmas morning Brandon woke up so excited and ready to exchange gifts. Luckily it wasn't too early. We've had Christmas with both our families now, so this morning was just the two of us. It was nice. We didn't have stockings this year (I had too many projects and not enough time), so our "stockings" were Santa hats!

It was so cold

We exchange our gifts first thing. Brandon got a new DVD burner and a book of essential knowledge (according to the New York Times). I got a water bottle, another New York Times book of practical knowledge and a new ipod cover. Exciting huh?! What do you expect, we are poor college students. Brandon had a little too much fun with my gifts. I accidentally saw the water bottle, which I didn't know he was going to get me so instead of wrapping up the water bottle, he wrapped up an empty coke bottle! And, instead of the ipod cover he wrapped up a old computer game. He's so silly, you almost always can't trust what he has wrapped up. :)
We had a fun time and ate sticky buns, then hurried off to get ready and head over to Aunt Jew's house.

Brandon loves the scrunchy face picture. Who doesn't want evil dead the game for Christmas?

The picture of Brandon with his book is by far one of my favorites

I couldn't resist throwing in a sappy one!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Wishing everyone a most Merry Christmas !

This year has been a busy one. Heather started her nursing program, Brandon in school. The two of use getting married (to each other of course). More school, school, school and more school. We were able to honeymoon at Disneyland and travel to Utah for a mission homecoming and then to Wyoming, Colorado and Utah to visit friends. In between all that has been school!
It has been a wonderful year.
We are grateful for all the love and support we continually receive from family and friends.
We are especially grateful this time of year for the humble birth of our Lord and Savior and for his perfect sacrifice and the opportunity we have to live with him again.

We hope this season has brought you all much love and joy!
