Jesse's Farewell

We had to leave Logan after Conrad's wedding luncheon so we could be home and go to Brandon's parent's ward on Sunday for Jesse's farewell.
Jesse has been called to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the San Francisco/Oakland California mission. We are so proud and so excited for him to embark on this exciting adventure.
Brandon and I tried desperately to get Jesse to look at us while he was speaking so we could make faces and such. Isn't Jesse lucky to have such a mature older brother and sister-in-law. He gave a wonderful talk on missionary work, we know he will be such a great missionary!
After we had a family dinner at the Capener's home with a lot of extended family, some of which I hadn't met yet.
It was a wonderful evening, that I have no pictures of because I was too busy yammering on while stuffing my face with chili.

So here is a picture of Jesse, getting ready to wet willy someone

Conrad's Wedding

My two best friend's little brother got married at the end of October. I LOVE fall weddings. I wanted one so so so bad. Oh yes, I did encourage Brandon. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved my wedding, it was spectacular!
So, Conrad's wedding was beautiful and it was fun to spend time with the Mickelsen family and my brother flew down for the wedding as well and it was wonderful to see him.

The reception was the night before the wedding (I guess this is a popular Utah thing) at this very beautiful reception venue called Wadley Farms in Lindon, Utah. It was a very beautiful setting, great for receptions.

Brandon and I didn't make it down early enough to participate in the flower arranging festivites, but we made it down for the reception and we were able to spend some time with Petey and Bonnie as well. I also finally gave Bonnie a baby blanket I had been working on for her little baby boy who was born during the summer!

The next morning we packed up and headed up to Logan for Conrad and Hailey's sealing in the Logan temple. It was beautiful and they were sealed by Elder Lynn A Mickelsen, who is a member of the first quorum of the seventy. I love going to sealings! I love being in the temple!

We ate a delicious luncheon at Maddox in Brigham City, I stuffed myself silly, mostly on rolls. I love their rolls!

We drove back home after the luncheon so we could make it to Jesse's mission farewell the next day!

What a cute couple!

This is just outside the building the reception was in, isn't it so cute!

Happy Birthday Heathies!!

This year for my birthday we just had a family dinner at Bonefish downtown and then walked to Coldstone and met up with some friends for ice cream. It was very low-key and nice.

Capener's also had us over for dinner the Sunday before and we had a little mini celebration there as well.

Thank you to all who came, it was a wonderful evening!

Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity, Jig, and...

Back to school. Two semesters down, two to go. Who knew OB would beat me into the ground. After the trip Brandon and I jumped back into school head on. Which means hitting the books, long hours at multiple hospitals, dropping Brandon off at school, sitting in the same room as my husband at our respective desks studying away.

ISU Meridian also moved to their new building which was very exciting, a little change of scenery, the last room was feeling so small and somewhat claustrophobic. There was also an open house with tours and food that we had to attend and show off our lab and who we are and such. It was a nice evening with the classmates.

Here is most of my nursing class, I love these people!
