Still alive, for the most part...

I am still here, but now that Christmas is over and school is in full swing and there are only two and a half months until the wedding I am a bit overwhelmed. I will try and post holiday pictures soon. They were wonderful. I hope everyone else enjoyed theirs as well!

Re-cap of Christmas and New Year's

This year for Christmas there was a lot going on. Between my family and Brandon's we had a good three days full of being here or there and everywhere.

A couple of weeks ago we had our annual friends Christmas party. There are a few of us that grew up together that still live in the area and we have been getting together for a Christmas party for four or five years now. It is so much fun and we added one to our group this year. Dave and his family are back in the area, it was a lot of fun to see them and to catch up.

Christmas Eve Eve I had to work, but after we were invited to a Christmas party at Miles and Bonnie's house. Always fun to spend time with them and some of their friends. There was great food and fun games and the fun just kept going until we were all about to pass out we were so tired and Brandon and I still had to walk home. Luckily, they just live down the street!

Christmas Eve was filled with some last minute shopping and errands and then a wonderful dinner of appetizers at Brandon's Grandma Judy's house with his Uncle Larry and his family. It was fun to meet some of the extended family that I had not yet met. The food was great, the gifts were so wonderful and the company was excellent! Thanks Gma Judy, it was great to see you again Larry and Sheila and it was great to meet you Melissa, Annie, Doug, Erin and kids!!

Christmas Eve night we had Brandon's family over and my family and Miles and Bonnie for the Bitsch family Christmas and I convinced my dad to buy the real Christmas tree for my house so everyone could come over here for the candle lighting. It's a beautiful tree that didn't get all the ornaments on it. I guess that is what happens when you leave the decorating to the men =) We had fun and some more food and lots of presents. My parents bought Brandon and I a Bosch mixer for a Christmas/Wedding gift that I love, love, love, love!!! Billy the Bosch is so beautiful! He will come in very handy when I get to whipping up cookies and bread and all sorts of treats. Please, please come over and help eat them everyone!

Christmas Day was packed full of plans, but due to receiving a lot of snow on Christmas Eve and my mom wrecking her car that night on the way home we decided to forgo some of the activities that required us to drive too far. We woke up early to get over to Caperner's, Jana was calling! She is serving a mission for the LDS church in Argentina. We all passed the phone around, ate cinnamon rolls and opened gifts. We were going to go to my Grandparents house, but since it was over in Nampa we decided to stay off the roads and stick to Boise. We sure did miss seeing them on Christmas! After we opened gifts at Capener's and talked to Jana some more we headed over to Julie's house for Christmas at the Jew's with Gma Purvis. More fun, more good food and more great gifts! I felt like a kid again!

After all of the formal festivities we went to the theater to watch "Marley and Me", it was very cute. We finished the day with everyone crashing at the respective homes. It was a wonderful Christmas and although busy, busy, busy, it was so much fun with lots of family and friends. I couldn't ask to be accquainted with better people in this world.

Thank you everyone for the fun, laughs, food and wonderful gifts!!

New Year's Eve we were going to get together with some friends for games, but I fell ill and was a bit miserable and did not want to infect anyone so Brandon and I just stayed home and watched a movie, changed the channel long enough to watch the ball drop, and finished the movie. We are such exciting people.
