Sleepless in Seattle

Tricia's title about Thanksgiving says "sleeping" I wonder if she meant "sleepless" because I don't remember doing much of the sleeping thing while we were there.

Space Needle!

So I decided this year to head up to Seattle where Jessica lives and spend Thanksgiving with Jessica and Adam and Tricia, James and kids who flew in from Colorado. This was at no fault of my family because they are the most important to me and I love them all very much. I was in need of a vacation and this was a great opportunity that presented itself.

Big shoppers on all the rides. First the Elephant ride then the Monorail (the "ride" that takes us to the mall)

I flew in early Wednesday morning and after briefly stopping back at Jessica's, picking up Tricia, Dorothy and Preston we went on our way downtown for shop-a-thon 2007. We spent most of the day shopping, ate some delicious food at one of the Nordstrom restaurants. If you get the chance have their pumpkin ravioli, it is so so so delicious. That night we started preparations for Thanksgiving dinner. We also busted out Guitar Hero II. Oh my goodness, so much fun!

Sight-seeing at Pike Place market.

Thanksgiving day was wonderful. We made a most delicious meal. Everything was so wonderful and yummy. We spent the morning cooking and ate around two and then vegged out for a while. I'm sure we played a little Guitar Hero too. We checked adds and planned out where we wanted to go for "Black Friday". Target was top of my list because they had Guitar Hero for the PS2 on a doorbuster special!!

The cooks!
I must say Creative Thanksgiving Cooks really out did themselves!

I was trying to get the saurkraut open, James was kind enough to open it then hand it back to me so I could feel like I opened it.

We left for the outlet mall at 11pm, crazy shoppers, did some damage in J. Crew, went home and crashed. We didn't get up as early as we were suppose to, but early enough. We hit Best Buy, Target, Toys-R-Us, Starbucks for hot chocolate, Anthropologie, The Apple store and Impress Rubber Stamps. I think that is all... It was a good time and we did find some really good deals.

How cute is that little angel?
Check it out, Space Needle pasta!

Saturday was Space Needle day! We had reservations for brunch in the restaurant at the top of the space needle. It spins while you eat so you can see the whole city. It was so cool. Dorothy even had space needle pasta! After, we rode the monorail downtown and went to Pike Place Market, walked past the original starbucks (it was too crowded to enter) and the boys took Dorothy and went back home and we did more shopping. I know, you'd think we'd done enough, but we did find some more good deals = )

Space Needle brunch bunch! The second pic is Dorothy and I up on the observation deck

Sunday we went to Sacrament meeting in Jessica's ward, spent some more time downtown and then I had to be at the airport. We didn't let tradition down though, somehow we ended up off the freeway, driving who knows where. Luckily the road took us past a sign that pointed us to the airport. However after following the sign we did turn around one more time before finding another sign telling us where to go. = )

The Sonics game I didn't get to go to =(

It was a great week full of fun and friends. It was so good to see everyone. Mrs, I love those naughty little angels of yours.

This is me with naughty Doty. We were in the butterfly exhibit at the science museum. You should have seen Tricia and Jessica freaking out. =) It was a sight. The more they freaked out the more Dorothy freaked out. Not good to have people freaking out when there are fragile butterflies around.

I am so thankful for my family and friends for the examples they are to me and for truly enriching my life.
I hope everyone else had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Halloween Parties and Birthdays

Last night was my friend Matt's brithday. We got a group together and had a great dinner at P.F. Changs. MMMM, delicious. I did forget to bring my camera and so I have no pictures. AH! annoying. It was fun and just for the record, Heidi P and I beat Brandon and Bridger. : )

Our neighbor's son Isaac came and "trick or treated" our house when we got home. He was dressed as a ninja, cutie! He then insisted that we "trick or treat" their house. So we did, dressed up as ourselves I guess. Shortly thereafter he showed up again in a different outfit looking for more candy I suppose. When Brandon opened the door he didn't realize it was Isaac again and thought it was strange when he just walked on in. He really is so adorable.

Last weekend the Young Single Adults had a regional activity. It was pretty good, good publicity, lots of people, food and a bull ride! I was waiting all week to get video of Annie on the bull. I ran back to the car to get the camera and by the time I got back the ride was over. After we partied it up a bit; Annie, Heidi P, Brandon C and I headed over to Merritt's for some mm food. Here are the pictures I have.

Farewell to Vladivostok!

My cousin Travis has received the call and is currently in the MTC preparing to go to the Russia Vladivostok mission! This mission covers east Siberia. Yep, clear over to the Bering Strait. Sounds cold to me. I'm very excited for him though. He is going to do great. I've never been so impressed with a young man as I am with him!

The arrow is pointing to where the mission home is, the bigger map shows the big picture. His mission covers all the stuff that curves up to the cold polar caps!

New Camera!

For my birthday I got a camera. I have finally made it into the digital age! Very exciting. Here are some pictures of the river near my house. I was just messing around with the different options. So fun!

See, me taking pictures
